Ten Chrysler Group Employees Honoured at Women of Colour Conference

Chrysler Group was well-represented at the Women of Colour Conference held on October 23-25 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. A total of ten female employees were honoured with awards during this annual event. It is the only celebration for multicultural persons that honour women’s achievements in technology.

Two of the women received the Special Recognition Awards for their achievements in engineering and manufacturing. It also recognizes their impact on women who want to move beyond roles traditionally assigned to women and into fields where opportunities have been limited to them. Eight other women were recognized as Technology Rising Stars. They are the women who are shaping the future of technology.

Chrysler Group has been dedicated to promoting women and all minorities in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields. The company supports multiple organizations that are dedicated to helping women advance in these professions. It is also a sponsor with Great Minds in STEM. This is an organization that gives scholarships to students who are Hispanic and majoring in a STEM career.

The women recognized at the awards ceremony join a long list of employees who have been honoured here and with other awards in the past. Chrysler Group employees have been recognized for their achievements with other awards, including Black Engineer of the Year and HENAAC Great Minds in STEM.
