Hey, everybody, Matt here from Redwater Dodge. I’m going to take a couple of minutes to go over a 2014 Ram 1500 Sport. We’ve recently taken it on trade. We’re doing that from our Express Lane here in our Service Department where at the moment, we’re running an oil change promotion for anyone who owns an FCA product. If you’re interested in finding out more about that, Google it. I guarantee it will pop up.
Now, we’ll talk about the Sport. So, obviously, let’s start with the obvious, it’s white. White Sport with Lexan-coated headlights. Now, there is some rock-chipping up front. I mean it’s a used vehicle, we live in Alberta, not going to try and hide that on you. You’re going to find it when you get here anyway, and I’d rather you notice it in advance. If that’s going to be a deal-breaker for you, then cover that good and early. Good point. Tire tread on here very, very good. Given that they are new tires, swallowed my keyhole.
It is the HEMI 5.7L. You’ll notice the badging has been customized a little bit. It’s not the standard silver chrome colour you would get. You’ve got the sun visors kicking around here up top, so somebody obviously put some work into their truck before they traded it in.
Auto defrost for the mirrors, which is going to be great when you run into weather like it is today. Look outside, it’s snowing again. Take a look inside the vehicle, you can see it is the half-leather load. So, you’ve got your mesh seats, so you don’t really need to get them vented. Leather on the outside. You’ve do get a power seat for the driver’s side, you do get Bluetooth controls. Other than that, I’m pretty sure you’re familiar with how most of this stuff is going to work. You’ve got an 8.4” touchscreen there that is going to be NAV-ready. You do have the dimming function for the rearview mirror, so if anybody’s going to high-beam you, you don’t have to worry about going blind.
Centre console’s got plenty of space. Hopefully, you got a good look at that while we were in there. It is a Crew Cab, so you’ve got that little extra bit of storage kicking around back here. Seats fold up nice and easy. Benches fold out if you want to haul anything flat on the inside. This does come with floor mats and in-floor storage, some call them beer coolers.
Again, all new tires. Tailgate. A bit of snow in the box because as I said, it’s still snowing. Thank you for getting that extra feel of the snow outside.
You do have dual exhaust, and being a Sport, you do have colour-matched bumpers. So, all in all, a Ram 1500 Sport. I didn’t get a good look at the kilometres, so come on over and let’s take a look so you know, 62,555 kms. – the thing’s still practically new.
All right, the only other thing I’d like to go over with you real quick is the actual file for the vehicle. We’ve been doing this in our segments of late. And I think it’s important for you guys to see the CarProof. Accident-free, one owner, no damage records found. Registered in Alberta, never stolen, no US history. All that other good stuff. You can see the Canadian renewals up front. There’s not a lot of point in spending a lot of time on this CarProof report given that it’s pretty dull. In terms of CarProof, dull is good.
The only other thing – the mechanical fitness assessment. As you can see, it passes in every single way it can. We’ve got the four new tires, new windshield, the brakes are 5 mm and 4 mm.
