Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. This is Travis here, coming at you on behalf of Redwater Dodge. Today is a very special episode. We’re going to go over one of our pre-owned units here. Parked behind me we have a 2013 Mazda6 GSL Edition. Beautiful white colour, incredible contoured projector-style lenses for your headlights there. It’s getting colder, getting windy, a little brisk in the morning when you wake up. First thing I want to bring your attention to, the block heater. There is no reason any Canadian should ever wait for the morning, go out and start their vehicle and sit there in a frozen iceberg. Not nice. Powering this beautiful car is a 2.5L dual overhead cam 16-valve variable valve timing motor giving you all the fuel mileage in the world. Approximately 6 ½ liters per 100 kilometres on the highway. Everything you have to have access to is fairly accessible here, which is definitely awesome and pretty rare for a non-domestic vehicle. All of your fluids and stuff like that, that you’re going to need to change – your power steering fluid, your windshield washer fluid and everything like that is going to be up here. The battery if you need a boost or you need to give somebody else a boost. The oil dipstick is actually right here. If you like to do your own oil changes, the actual oil cap is right back here.
Go on to the side here. Beautiful rims and rubber. That is a 17-inch rim, 17-inch wheel. They’re not overly low profile, so they’re a very good all-season tire. The thing that I like about the sedans in the non-domestic cars and stuff like that is that they do have a generally sleeker look. Obviously, this one here I’d have no problem driving it in the winter ‘cause there’s good amount of rubber on there. Anything with the Michelin brand or the Michelin brand backing it, I love. I love 100 percent. You can see the sunroof right on top here. Heated and power mirrors.
It is the GSL, so it does have a bunch of luxury options. There’s a few woodgrain accents in the vehicle. Power seats, they’re leather. It’s a six-speed automatic transmission. You have satellite radio AM/FM as well as CD. You have air conditioning, tilt on the steering wheel, cruise control. You obviously have the hands-free Bluetooth there. You also have the option to go into Tiptronic mode, so if you want to feel like you’re driving a standard transmission with the benefits of an automatic transmission, you can definitely do that there. Like I mentioned previously, it’s got the woodgrain. It is a full-size sedan. You also have the remote start, which actually still works. The battery here has been replaced. The remote start is definitely an asset for the winter months. It is a full-size sedan, there’s plenty of room in the rear there. Full leather, all throughout. Just add the kids, the grandparents, the dogs. The car keys, whatever you like. Come around here. It does have the beautiful Mazda6 logo on it. Incredible shape. A little bit of an off-white, it’s almost a cream colour. It’s a really nice colour of paint. On the key fob, you’ll notice that it’s got a trunk pop button here. All you do is hold it in and it unlatches it for you. If you’re walking up to it with a handful of groceries, it definitely is going to be easy to get in. A ton of trunk space, it is carpeted. Underneath here, you’re going to obviously find your spare tire, stuff like that. If you lock your friends in, there’s a quick escape, they just have to pull this out, no problem.
