Good afternoon, folks. My name is Gerry Varadi with Redwater Dodge, a half-hour northeast of Edmonton. Beside me I have a new arrival, 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, two-door, four-wheel drive as all Wranglers are.
Under the hood, we’ve got the 3.5L V6 engine paired with an automatic transmission. Just over 81,000 km on that engine and transmission. There will be a tail-end powertrain warranty. Jeep covers the powertrain for five years, 100,000 km, so there will be some of that remaining.
The Jeep is in extremely good condition. There is one small dent right here.We’ve got brand new tires all the way around. The sticker hasn’t even been worn off of the tires. Nice feature for Alberta, it’s got remote start.
Inside the unit, cloth interior, power windows, power locks. Has Bluetooth for hands-free connectivity. Steering wheel-mounted controls for the radio and of course, the Bluetooth.
The Jeep Wranglers are a pretty popular unit, partly because of the new Freedom top. Back when they had the Jeeps with the removable roofs, you had to take the entire roof off, which takes a couple of guys and a little bit of time. With the Freedom top, a small person can take these Freedom tops off in a minute and half. They’re very easy, they’re light, easy to handle. Running boards on the Jeep as well.
We’ll open up the back so you can see some of the storage capacity. The back seat is removable, giving you even more storage space or it can flip up to give you this area here. We’ve installed a trailer hitch on this Jeep.
We’ll walk around the Jeep so you can have a good look at the condition. That one dent I pointed out on the other side is really the only mark on this Jeep. It’s in really nice condition, especially considering it’s a couple of years old and has over 80,000 km.
Around the front, tow hooks, fog lights. Like I said, the Jeep Wranglers are insanely popular. In my experience, if I’ve got a customer looking at a Jeep, chances are real good they’ve already owned a couple of them. If they haven’t it stands that they will own a couple more in the future. They’ve got a strong reputation of reliability and the Wrangler is a fun vehicle. Especially in the summertime, but they’re insulated enough for Alberta winters as well.
I’m going to go over some of the paperwork on this Jeep. I’m going to start with the inspection. Now, the inspections at Redwater Dodge all look the same. This one is checked as passed.
If we can’t put a check mark as passed, then we won’t keep the unit for retail. It will end up on a dirt lot somewhere. Some of the things we did to make sure it did get a check mark on each and every item.
We did a full inspection, that’s what you just looked at. We always do an oil change and filter. That’s listed here. We also did a mount and balance of four new tires and we also replaced the windshield.
And then there’s one more work order. That’s for the trailer hitch we installed. The last bit of paperwork I’m going to go over is the CarProof. Nothing to see here, really. No damage records found, no estimates and the vehicle has never been registered outside of Alberta.
Looking at the registration history, because of the privacy act, they don’t release a lot of details, including customer name or information. But looking at how it’s been registered and where it’s been registered and serviced, you’ll notice that most of the entries are Sherwood Park and the registrations are all renewals. So, it’s fairly safe to assume this is a one-owner Jeep. As a matter of fact, I know it is because I know who traded it. That’s really all I can tell you.
