Here are 10 tips for spring vehicle maintenance:

  1. Check engine belts, hoses and fuel filter

    1. Prevent breakdowns or serious engine damage by replacing belts and hoses at recommended intervals. Checking and replacing the fuel filter ensures that the engine is running at an optimal level and maximizes fuel economy.

  2. Check tires

    1. Check air pressure for all tires, including the spare, as improper pressure leads to premature wear and a decrease in fuel mileage. Also check the tread and sidewall to make sure they are in top form.

  3. Check brakes

    1. You use your brakes more than any other part of your vehicle. Make sure your brake pads are optimal and also check the parking brake.

  4. Check oil

    1. Checking the oil on a regular basis is a must, but getting an oil change every season is great preventive maintenance.

  5. Check air filter

    1. Good airflow to your engine is extremely important. Clean air ensures you get proper performance and a longer life out of our vehicle.

  6. Check fluid levels

    1. Vehicle fluids and lubricants should be checked often and changed at factory-recommended intervals to make sure they’re fresh and filled.

  7. Check battery

    1. Winter is very hard on your battery thanks to cold-morning starts. When you check it look for corroded terminals and inspect for a bulging or cracked case.

  8. Check shocks and struts

    1. Winter is full of potholes and your shocks and struts take a beating. Mopar shocks and struts optimize vehicle handling, tire life and keep vehicles riding smooth.

  9. Check wiper blades

    1. You won’t be able to handle summer storms if your wiper blades are are cracked and dried up. Mopar all-season wiper blades are made from an all-metal superstructure that provides durability and reliable performance.

  10. Check headlamps, tail lamps, turn signals and hazard lights

    1. Inspect and test all exterior lamps and lights, including turn signals and hazard lights to ensure they are in proper working order and alignment.
