2017 Chrysler Pacifica

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica returned to the market this past January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. Minivan sales have been in decline since the advent of small SUV and crossover models which offered the practicality of a minivan in addition to superior handling and fuel economy, the Pacifica is looking to change that.

The new Pacifica is intended to replace the Chrysler Town and Country and the Dodge Grand Caravan. Grand Caravan sales fell 28% in 2015, and Fiat Chrysler Automobile will continue to produce the current Grand Caravan model under the condition that there is consumer demand for it. The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has reinvented itself as a stylish minivan, that doesn’t necessarily feel like a minivan. It features a sleek, flowing aesthetic which compared to its predecessor models is less boxy. Its stance is positioned lower and features bigger wheels for handling and a ride that feels more like a crossover than a minivan.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

Pacifica will be the only minivan offering a plug-in hybrid option, while the gas models will feature a 3.6L V6 engine which boasts Best-in-Class fuel economy. Sliding rear doors, a minivan signature feature, will have hands-free operation by waving your foot underneath of the door area.

Production of the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica will take take place in Windsor, Ontario. It is expected that 95% of all Pacifica models produced will be bound for North American markets. The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica will be hitting Chrysler showrooms in the spring of 2016. Visit Redwater Dodge for a test drive of your next vehicle!
