Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, Travis here coming at you on behalf of Redwater Dodge. I wanted to go over one of our awesome pre-owned units here for you today. Parked behind me, we have a 2010 Jeep Compass North.
Essentially, to me, the Compass is the smaller Grand Cherokee. Holds a lot of the same shape and stuff like that. Being a smaller SUV, people are obviously going to be more wary of driving in the wintertime. Let me tell you, this has one of the most advanced 4×4 systems available for the year.
Very, very, very large headlights. I drove a Patriot which is very similar, pardon me, to a Compass. People were consistently flashing me their high beams because they thought my high beams were on and they weren’t. So, visibility like that in the winter or in cloudy conditions and stuff like that is going to be very good. It also does come fully-equipped with fog lamps as well. Brilliant black colour. You’ll notice the shimmering flecks in there. The rubber is in incredibly good shape. Firestone.
The interior has been very well-kept. It has the premium cloth seats, wicked stereo, air conditioning, cruise control. The Tiptronic there, so if you feel like driving a standard and you don’t have one, there you go. Air, tilt, cruise, pretty basic.
Now, this isn’t a four-wheel drive vehicle. It is a 4×4 vehicle. You have to physically engage it by pulling on the lever in the centre console there. That gives you all you 4×4. I like how the door handles actually aren’t on the door, they are up here.
For a smaller, more compact SUV, they actually boast tons of room in the back. Whether or not its kids or dogs or groceries, I don’t see you running out of space in the foreseeable space. 4×4 badge, the Compass badge as well. It does actually have the trailer receiver as well. Even more room aside from the back seat as well. The seats do actually fold straightforward as well. Spare tire and your jack and stuff like that are right here. It’s nice that you don’t have to crawl under the vehicle to get that. This is the perfect vehicle for someone just starting out or someone looking for a commuter vehicle if they have a little bit of a drive and they don’t want to be taking the winter roads and stuff like that.
