Chrysler Group is hosting its third annual automotive design competition for high school students in grades 10-12. The competition has expanded to include students in all public high schools within the United States. Four award winners will receive prizes, including one $60,000 scholarship to the College for Creative Studies.
Hosting the event is the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and the Detroit Autorama hot rod show. Students can submit entries to the automotive design competition for a chance at one of four prize packages. The entries must be received by January 23, 2015 and winners will be announced on January 30th.
Students who are interested must submit a drawing of a next-generation Dodge vehicle along with an essay about what the Dodge brand means to them. The drawing can be done by pencil, markers or paint. The top winner receives a $60,000 scholarship to CCS, an Apple MacBook Pro, paid admission to the three-week summer design course at CCS which includes housing meals and any field trips, and three passes to the Detroit Autorama to be held March 6-8, 2015. Second through fourth place receives an Apple device, paid admission to the CCS summer course and passes to the Detroit Autorama.
